The Williams YMCA of Avery County is committed to the health and safety of our members, staff and community. Executive Order 215 eases many mask restrictions and social distancing protocols both inside and outside. In response to this new order, we are excited to make the following changes to our mask wearing protocols beginning May 14th, 2021.

  • All fully vaccinated individuals are no longer required to wear a mask inside YMCA facilities, and YMCA programs, or while taking part in any YMCA activity.
  • Exclusions apply to Childcare program and Camp participants and staff where masks will continue to be required indoors for ages 5 and up.
  • Individuals who are not fully vaccinated are expected to follow mask wearing requirements per NCDHHS.
  • Staff, members, participants and guests are welcome to continue wearing a mask if they feel comfortable doing so.

Thank you for staying with us throughout the pandemic. We look forward to seeing you at the YMCA!
