SUMMER CAMP COUNSELOR
Williams YMCA of Avery County is looking for caring, enthusiastic, and creative summer Day Camp Counselors who want to serve as role models for youth in our community. The Summer Camp Counselor is responsible for providing leadership and ensuring safety of all campers and direct supervision of children in all planned activities. Counselors will be responsible for a group of 10 campers and will be responsible for helping to plan and execute daily activities such as: academic lesson plans, outdoor activities, field trips, swimming, games, etc.
Must be able to work flexible hours Monday – Friday from 6/7 – 8/6. Training will take place between the weeks of 5/26 – 6/4.

Personal Trainers, under the direct supervision of the Director of Healthy Living, will be responsible and accountable for assisting in the development of the Health and Wellness department and Personal Training Programs held at the Williams YMCA of Avery County. The Personal Trainer must demonstrate a personal commitment to the mission of the YMCA. This position requires that he/she must have good communication skills, organizational skills, strong human relation skills, dress appropriately to fit the task, exhibit good health habits and is expected to promote the programs and services of the YMCA. The ability to maintain harmonious relationships with staff, volunteers, members, and guests is essential.
